WHEN THE BRAIN IS HEALTHY...
It functions optimally, allowing us to think, learn new things, remember important information, and make decisions.
Below are 3 easy ways to help support your brain health.
1. Get Plenty of Sleep
Lack of sleep can lead to impaired cognitive function, decreased focus, and memory problems. It is recommended to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night. To optimize your sleep, try getting to bed at the same time each night and aim to wake up at the same time every morning. Even on weekends, try to get to bed within 2 hours of your usual weekday bedtime.
2. Exercise Your Brain
Our brains crave being used. When not utilized, it can lead to a wide range of problems, including memory loss, difficulty concentrating, mood disorders, and even neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's.
Exercise your brain through activities like reading, puzzles, and learning new skills. Exercising your brain regularly can help improve brain plasticity and cognitive flexibility.
